Mashatu Main Lodge - almost a home from home. We had been going there yearly since 2012 with the kids. Due to Covid and their border post being closed we hadn't been able to get there since 2019.
So good to be back. It was devil thorn and baby season - so many newborn animals.
Great memories - not just of spectacular game but of downtime between gamedrives overlooking the waterhole or relaxing at their new pool.
Family accomodation in spacious airconditioned units (sleep 4). Traditional and understated comfortable safari style.
The big cats, particularly leopards are the major drawcard for us at Mashatu. Aside from adorable lion cubs in 5 days we had 22 sightings and saw 7 indivual leopards. Very special.
Mashatu really is the perfect bush break!
